I consider myself to be a fairly "virgin" artist with a lust for design. I enjoy the planning stage of creating art; the research, collecting materials and discussion with fellow (and admired) artists known to me. Printmaking began with a 2 day workshop in Seattle where I was supposed to show up on the first day with a drawing or sketch. Ever the procrastinator and not believing in my drawing ability, I picked up a fallen leaf from my garden, made a photocopy and used that for my first lino cut. Love, love, love printmaking: it involves paper, tools, ink, design, movement, planning. I hope you enjoy my work and it makes you think of something you encountered in your childhood or daily life.
Be inspired to try art, don't fear failure and believe in the ability to achieve what you really want if you are willing to work at it.
